am currently working as a freelance video editor / animator
in New York City. I am very much fascinated with visual storytelling
and passionate about deepening my understanding of visual language
through my creative experiences.
I am particularly keen on video editing, videography, photography,
and motion graphic creations. These interests have led me to
seek extensive knowledge in multimedia and to obtain a variety
of work experience in
television production including post, studio and field production
as well as non-linear / linear video editing and motion graphics.
I have also worked on interactive web design and DVD authoring.
I have produced short documentaries and
have additionally worked on developing non-linear, interactive
narratives. My creative work has been aired at several TV channels
and has also received an award at the ASU
Art Museum film festival.
I received my master's degree in Mass Communication in December
2005 and my bachelor's degree in Broadcast Business Management
in May 2002, both from the Walter
Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona
State University. My graduate thesis focus was to apply
non-linear storytelling forms for multimedia documentaries,
and I developed an interactive environment as part of my applied
project. I have received several awards – an Outstanding
Graduate Student Award for my master’s thesis and an Outstanding
Graduating Senior Award as an undergraduate.
